Instructions for use of concentrate of blackening F-16:

The concentrate should be thoroughly shaken before use and then prepare the solution. The working solution is prepared at the rate of 250-300 ml/l. It should be transparent, but a small sediment at the bottom of the container is possible. pH of the solution is 3.7-3.9 units.

In addition, the parts should be carefully prepared before treatment. They should be well degreased and washed.

Parts are immersed in the solution for oxidising F-16 for about 2 minutes at room temperature. During this time they should blacken. A more precise time for this process can be determined by experience.

Required process steps:

1. Chemical and/or electrochemical degreasing, hot and/or cold washing
2. Etching. Preferably with the use of an inhibitor. The appearance of the parts is grey, homogeneous
3. Washing. Intensive and thorough
4. Cold oxidising (blackening)
5. Rinsing
6. Drying at a temperature of at least 80°C
7. Oiling, recommended 80°C
8. Removal of oil residues.

The surface of the parts at simultaneous loading should not exceed 3-4dm3 per 1 litre of working solution. It is noteworthy that the solution in the process of work can change colour, which is not a sign of defect. As the coating of the parts becomes lighter in colour and the oxidation time increases.

The working solution for oxidising F-16 parts can be adjusted by adding 1/3 of the initial quantity. This is done by increasing the oxidation time or by obtaining a brown colour of the solution.
