The basic rules of colorless passivation

1. Colorless passivation is applied after the process of galvanizing the detail.
2. The detail should have a smooth, uniform zinc coating. Because the application of passivation will not eliminate or hide galvanizing defects. However, it can make them more noticeable even to the naked eye.
3. Also note that initially the zinc coating must be applied in a thicker layer. This is because the zinc layer applied will become thinner as the parts passivate. And if it is not thick enough, it can be removed to the base metal.
4. Usually the exposure time of a colorless passivation is from 10 to 30 seconds at the temperature of electrolyte 18-30C.

After the treatment, the details have an attractive appearance with a beautiful decorative sheen, increased corrosion resistance and can withstand high temperatures.
