Initial situation:

The coolant from another Ukrainian manufacturer, which the customer had previously used, caused allergies among the employees. In addition, it gave a low quality of metal processing. Then the customer switched to an imported coolant with oil content over 40%, but the price did not correspond to the quality. The working solution was heterogeneous and with inclusions of particles. As a result, the purpose of the tests was to find a coolant with oil content over 40%, which would provide the necessary quality of processing of stainless steel.

Solution:

After that it was suggested to buy Defender “Pro” coolant. The working solution of the coolant was prepared in 5% concentration in a special tank for the preparation of the working solution. Then, from this tank, the working fluid was poured into the machines on which the stainless steel parts were machined.  It should be noted that the water used to prepare the working solution was tap water. And for refilling the machines a 3% solution of Defender “Pro” coolant was prepared. It was also ensured that the concentration of coolant was checked with a refractometer.

Result:
