Diethylamine hydrochloride is a powder in the form of crystals. Diethylammonium salt, ammonia derivative. Boils at 330°C, melts at 220°C. It is highly soluble in water, chloroform and ethyl alcohol. Insoluble in diethyl ether. It is an essential component of fluxes for soldering metals.
