Propylene Glycol Solution
Composition:
propylene glycol + distilled water.
No functional additives are included.
The product is intended primarily for industrial processes, manufacturing, and other applications requiring an aqueous propylene glycol solution of a specified concentration.
FREEZLIGHT® Heat Transfer Fluid
FREEZLIGHT® contains an aqueous propylene glycol base combined with a specially selected functional additive package.
These formulated heat transfer fluids are intended for long-term circulation in heating, cooling, and heat transfer systems according to the specifications of the particular product grade.
If the system requires corrosion protection and other functional properties, a formulated FREEZLIGHT® heat transfer fluid should be used instead of a plain propylene glycol solution.
When to Choose a Solution Without Additives
40% Propylene Glycol Solution is appropriate when:
• a specific propylene glycol concentration is required;
• additives are not required by the process;
• the product is used as a raw material;
• the customer formulates the final product independently;
• the equipment permits the use of an uninhibited aqueous propylene glycol solution;

When to Choose a Formulated Heat Transfer Fluid
FREEZLIGHT® is the more appropriate option when a ready-to-use working fluid is required for:

Consider the materials used in:

Because this product contains no corrosion inhibitors, it should not be described as providing corrosion protection for all metals in a system.
Preparation for Use

2. Remove the previous working fluid.
3. Clean the system of contamination and deposits.
4. Remove as much residual water as possible if maintaining the specified concentration is important.

Residual water in the system will reduce the actual propylene glycol concentration.
Does the 40% Solution Need to Be Diluted
If a 40% concentration is required, no further dilution is necessary.
Adding water reduces the propylene glycol concentration and changes the physical properties of the solution.
If another concentration is required, a solution with the specified ratio of propylene glycol to distilled water can be manufactured to order.
