Sulphuric acid standard titres application

Sulphuric acid 0.1 N standard titrants are used for laboratory research, in particular for titrometry. Each ampoule contains a clearly calibrated amount of the substance, which contributes to the convenience of their use.

To obtain a solution of fixanal, the drug is poured into a laboratory flask, distilled water at a temperature of 20°C is added and thoroughly mixed. Then the obtained solution is brought with distilled water to a volume of 1000 cm3 and mixed again.

The solution prepared from the standard titres is used in chemical analysis by neutralisation. The advantage of H2SO4 is its non-volatility, which is important in works connected with prolonged boiling.
