Besides, zinc oxide serves as a catalyst in the process of methanol synthesis. Due to its photocatalytic activity, this substance is used to obtain self-cleaning surfaces and bactericidal coatings.

In addition to the above, zinc whitewash serves as a working medium for powder lasers. It is also used for the manufacture of:
