Nickel nitrate should be stored in the factory packaging in closed warehouses equipped with forced ventilation systems, protected from moisture and light, isolated from alkalis and ammonia.

It is recommended to transport nickel nitrate oxide by covered railway or road transport in compliance with the norms and rules of cargo transportation applicable to these modes of transport.
