Cryolite application
In metallurgical production

It is an indispensable component (grade K-1, high purity) for the production of aluminium by electrolytic means. Interestingly, 32 kg of cryolite is enough to produce 1 tonne of aluminium, half of which is subsequently subject to regeneration and reuse.

Cryolite is a component of mixtures for the production of enamelling coatings, acting as a “whitening” agent.
