 Initial situation In May of this year we purchased Defender “Oil” for tests on the cutting machine, while working with aluminum profiles. The previously used “Asfol” coolant was not satisfactory: the surface was dirty and had to be washed after machining. Also, the end face had burrs and crumbling, and the profile was frequently broken.

The solution The machine was filled with 50 liters of oil-based cutting fluid Defender.

The result The tests were conducted over a period of two weeks. According to the company director, the processing quality improved by 90% during this time. Moreover, the profile cut is now even, there are no breaks or burrs. Moreover, the profiles are clean and do not need additional washing after treatment.

The price of oil-based cutting fluid quite justifies its usefulness and width of use in complicated metal-working operations.
