Production of pine rosin

Pine rosin is a part of coniferous resins and is one of the products of the timber and chemical industry. In the industry, Colophon rosin is produced by evaporation of volatile components from oleoresin, extraction with organic solvents from chopped wood or distillation of pulp and paper waste.

Requirements for transportation and storage:

Pine rosin is a non-flammable, non-toxic substance. When working with Colophon rosin, use personal protective equipment – respirator, goggles and gloves.

Pine rosin is packaged by the manufacturer in polypropylene and paper bags with a polyethylene liner, the standard packing weight of which is 25 kg. Store Colophon resin in its original packaging in closed warehouses equipped with ventilation systems, protected from moisture and light.

Pine rosin is recommended to be transported by covered railway or road transport, subject to the rules and regulations for the carriage of goods applicable to these types of transport.
